- Feb 2023: A significant step forward has been announced in Viettel and Qualcomm Technologies, Inc.'s collaborative effort to provide cutting-edge 5G infrastructure worldwide. The businesses have finished the initial iterations of Viettel's 5G Distributed Unit (DU) and Radio Unit (RU), which are based on the Qualcomm® X100 5G RAN Accelerator Card and Qualcomm QRU100 5G RAN Platform, respectively. This builds on their earlier statement from May 2022.
- Feb 2023: NTT Ltd., a provider of IT infrastructure and services, and Cisco, a major player in the global technology market, announced their intention to work together to promote the private adoption of 5G in the automotive, logistics, healthcare, retail, and public sectors. NTT and Cisco intend to collaborate on innovation and jointly commercialize the managed services and technology that will allow business clients to successfully implement Private 5G and attain improved business results. The firms want to leverage Intel hardware in conjunction with NTT's first-to-market Managed Private 5G solution to speed edge connection.
