- In January 2024, Tokyo Keiso Co., Ltd. introduced two novel flowmeters specifically made for single-use procedures in biopharmaceutical applications: the BIOMAG Electromagnetic Flowmeter and the BIOSONIC Ultrasonic Flowmeter. These flowmeters are made in a cleanroom and come with a disposable flow sensor that is biocompatible and capable of gamma-ray sterilization. Additionally, they have a single-barb fitting that satisfies the specifications of biopharmaceutical manufacture and are compatible with single-use systems.
- In October 2023, Brooks Instrument established a new production unit in Penang, Malaysia, to manufacture mass flow controllers (MFCs) and grow its business in Malaysia. The new plant, which is 57,000 square feet in size, is Brooks fourth production site worldwide. At the moment, the Malaysian plant is concentrating on manufacturing its GF100 MFC series of MFCs. Brooks' largest Class 100 cleanroom manufacturing space is integrated into the factory.
- In June 2023, Brooks Instrument introduced the SLAMf series, a new range of thermal MFCs sealed with elastomers. These MFCs have enhanced Class I/Division 2 & Zone 2 approvals and are made especially for hazardous environments. The SLAMf MFCs provide enhanced control and accuracy through the use of fast EtherNet/IP and PROFINET communication protocols. They have also passed stringent safety testing and been certified by UL, ATEX, KOSHA, IECEx, and CE.
