- 3M introduced a new line of medical adhesives in February 2023 that has an extended wear period of up to 28 days. This novel medical adhesive is meant to work with a wide variety of health monitors, sensors, and long-term medical wearables. It can stay on the skin for up to 28 days. Extended medical adhesives may only be worn for 14 days on average before to 2022. In an effort to promote a more patient-focused approach to healthcare, 3M has now expanded that standard, essentially doubling it.
- In June 2019, Loctite Liofol LA 2798, an adhesive solution designed for high-performance packaging applications, was introduced by Henkel AG and Company KGaA, broadening its offering. For procedures like hot filling and sterilizing, the base component of Loctite Liofol LA 2798 can be used with various hardeners.
