- Tytek Medical Inc. began producing medical goods in January 2023. The company provided pre-hospital emergency medical supplies, including compressed gauze, bandages, shears, portable suction devices, chest decompression needles, and other clinical items, for trauma care.
- The American Heart Association (AHA) CPR and AED training provider Cintas Corporation introduced its Bleeding Control Training Program in November 2023 to assist employers in promptly recognizing and responding to potentially fatal bleeding. The Cintas Bleeding Control Training course includes instruction on how to identify wounds, identify them, apply tourniquets manually, and pack wounds. Participants will receive a review of injuries that might result in severe blood loss, learn how to stop bleeding, and know when to use a tourniquet.
- The American College of Surgeons (ACSs) launched the STOP THE BLEED program in May 2023 in an effort to inform and empower people to learn about basic bleeding control measures that can save lives.
